ABOUT THE ROLE

Honestly - this is a ridiculously good job for the right person!
We’re an international business based around bees, beekeeping, and creating a positive impact on the planet.
And we’re on the lookout for an experienced Social Media Manager to join our amazing marketing team.

Social media is a key element of Flow’s marketing - we’ve got a social reach of 1 million followers globally, an origin story that exploded overnight, an incredibly passionate community, numerous celebrity customers, an in-house growth marketing team managing ads, and an in-house media team that creates viral videos on the regular.

We need somebody to help us to continue engaging with our online community and reaching our target customers.

Any beekeeping knowledge would be beneficial, but if you’ve never kept a bee in your life, don’t worry - we’ll teach you about them!

This is a full-time position. Our team works from our incredible northern NSW office, and you’ll also be able to work flexible days from home.
The successful applicant will manage and coach a direct report - our Social Media Coordinator.

IDEAL SKILLS/EXPERIENCE

  • You’ve got a marketing background, with the ability to develop messaging themes and land the tone of a campaign just right.
  • You’re experienced (preferably 3+ years) in managing an e-commerce brand’s social media channels, eg: Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, TikTok.
  • You know how to plan for business outcomes, based on an understanding of funnels and experience in implementing lead-generation programs.
  • You’re happy getting stuck into the numbers and are comfortable with collating data, analysing it, reporting on marketing insights, and making recommendations.
  • You love being involved in the process of crafting content and getting it in front of an audience - from creative ideation through to planning, production, scheduling, and publication.
  • You’re great at cultivating relationships and have experience with influencer marketing or high-profile customers.
  • You’re excited by the prospect of doing things like strategising to optimise a livestream across multiple platforms, managing a diverse online user community, or making contact with bee clubs around the world.
  • You love what you do, collaborate well within a team, and enjoy bringing new ideas to the table (we’re the kind of company where there’s always scope to push the boundaries and get involved in something new!)
  • You care about the planet and have an interest in using business for positive purpose.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Developing and implementing a social media strategy: Create a plan for how the company will use social media to achieve its business goals. This includes choosing which social media platforms to focus on, identifying the target audience, creating a content calendar, developing funnels from lead gen to conversion, and setting metrics for success.
  • Monitoring social media metrics: Track and analyse metrics to understand how well the strategy is performing, which can include measuring engagement, reach, and conversion rates. Provide regular reports on social media performance.
  • Managing social media accounts: Maintain social media profiles and pages, keep information up to date.
  • Managing engagement with followers: Collaborate with the Social Media Coordinator and in-house customer support team to ensure comments are responded to when appropriate.
  • Managing the creation and publication of content: Collaborate with the in-house marketing and media teams to ideate, create, curate and publish content that is engaging, relevant, and on-brand. This includes participating in brainstorms, writing posts, selecting user-generated content to share, and overseeing the scheduling and publication of content across platforms.
  • Collaborating with other departments: Work closely with other teams to ensure that the social media strategy is aligned with overall business objectives.
  • Staying up-to-date on social media trends and best practices: Stay informed about the latest trends, updates, and best practices in social media marketing, and make recommendations for how to incorporate these into the company's strategy.
  • Influencer management: Develop our influencer program and oversee its implementation to ensure that relationships are being properly managed, content is being utilised well, and growth targets are being met.

If you have a passion for social media and a track record of success in developing and implementing effective social media strategies, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity.
